Implant Supported Dentures
A loose denture is the complaint we hear most from people who already wear one. It slips when you eat, it rubs, and it needs adhesive. Implants fix that. At Sky Valley Dental, Dr. Cho plans your case on our own CBCT 3D scanner, places the implants, and fits your new teeth here at 1221 W Main St. You don't get sent to a surgeon, then back here, then somewhere else.
Who this is for
- You wear a full upper or lower denture and it moves, hurts, or needs adhesive.
- You have a few failing teeth left and want to skip going straight to a plain denture.
- You've been told you don't have enough bone. Ask anyway. A CBCT scan shows us exactly what's there, and a graft is often an option.
Two kinds, and we'll tell you which one fits
We usually place 4 to 6 implants per arch for either option.
Snap-in (removable): the denture clicks onto the implants so it stops moving, and you take it out at night to clean it.
Fixed (stays in): a full arch of teeth is attached to the implants and you don't take it out. It feels the closest to real teeth.
Already have a denture you like? Depending on your evaluation, we can often convert your existing denture so it attaches to implants.
If neither one is right for you, we'll say so and talk through a better denture or a partial.
Start to finish, in one office
- Consult: exam, digital scan, and a CBCT 3D x-ray. You leave with a plan and a written cost.
- Extractions and grafts, if you need them, in the same chair.
- Implant placement: local anesthetic, plus nitrous or oral sedation if you want it (oral sedation needs a driver). You go home the same day.
- Healing: often a few months while the bone locks onto the implants. You're never without teeth. Depending on your case, you'll wear temporary teeth, which we 3D-print here in the office, or your adjusted denture.
- Final teeth: planned here and made by our dental lab technician, then fitted and adjusted by Dr. Cho.
- Follow-ups and maintenance, also here.
Why people don't drive to Everett or Seattle for this
Dr. Cho is a Fellow and Diplomate of the ICOI (the International Congress of Oral Implantologists) and trained at the Misch Implant Institute. The office has CBCT, CEREC, and a 3D printer, and Sky Valley Dental has 650+ five-star Google reviews. Most dental offices in the area say they "offer implants" and then refer the surgery out. Here, one dentist plans it, places it, and restores it.
Cost
Every case is different, so you'll get a written cost at your consult, before you commit to anything. We check your insurance up front, and HSA and FSA cards work here. Uninsured? This starts with the $99 new-patient exam and x-rays.
When we'll tell you no
Heavy smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, or not enough bone even with a graft can make implants the wrong choice. We'll tell you that up front. We don't sell an implant to everyone who asks.
Call (360) 794-5788, Monday through Thursday, and ask for an implant denture consult.
